Black Hawk Country Club was designed by internationally acclaimed golf course designer and re-designer, Rees Jones. With more than 7,100 yards of pristine play and five sets of tees, the golf course challenges golfers of all levels. The golf course engages approximately 50 acres of lakes and waterways along with 43 bunkers. Fairways of 419 Tif-way Bermuda and Tif-eagle greens are meticulously maintained for championship golf course conditions year round. And unique to the Houston area, the golf course is uniquely free of any housing developments, affording the freedom to focus on the game of golf as it was meant to be.
Members and their guests enjoy the area's finest golf practice facilities allowing them to improve and perfect their game. Practice areas include an expansive practice range, two putting greens and a one-acre dedicated short game practice area. Paying homage to the true tradition of the game, Black Hawk Country Club provides on-site caddie services for member convenience. Whether playing in a club tournament or entertaining clients, the addition of a caddie or forecaddie can enhance any round.
Among its many accolades, Black Hawk Country Club proudly hosted the 2006 Nationwide Tour Championship and LPGA Tour Championship presented by Rolex in November 2009. Both season ending tournaments showcased their tour's top leading money winners competing for a season ending purse.
Along with Shadow Hawk Golf Club, Black Hawk Country Club co-hosted the 2011 U.S. Mid Amateur Championship that took place September 15-22, 2011.
The Rees Jones philosophy is always in play on Black Hawk's golf course: holes that are fair, challenging, visually exciting and continually interesting to play.
